US Sports Prediction League

Anyone can pick
a winner.
Call the score.

One call per game — the final score, both sides. That single number pair is scored three different ways, so a near miss still pays and an exact hit pays 20. Free to play, no stake, nothing to wager. Highest total on the monthly board takes GOAT.

Both scores exactly right adds 10 more — a Perfect Call, worth 20. The wider touchdown band exists so a reasonable read is never worth nothing.

The mechanic

One call. Three verdicts.

You type two numbers. We read three separate opinions out of them and score each one on its own. Bands never stack — the best single band pays — which keeps a lucky blowout from outscoring a sharp read.

  1. 01+2

    Winner

Which side your scoreline puts in front. The easy one, and the smallest payout — picking a winner is table stakes here, not the game.

  2. 02+4

    Margin

How far apart you said they would finish. Judged against the sport's own unit, so a one-score read in football counts like a one-run read in baseball.

  3. 03+4

    Total

The two scores added up. Reading the shape of a game — shootout or rock fight — pays even when you back the wrong side.

Maximum on a normal call: 10. Land both scores exactly and the Perfect Call bonus takes it to 20.

Across sports

Every league, one board.

A football margin and a baseball margin are not the same distance. Bands are cut to each sport's own scoring unit, so a single leaderboard can hold all three without favouring the high-scoring ones.

The month

Points reset. Rank doesn't.

Every month opens a fresh board, so a cold October never buries you in November. The points you bank that month set your rank — except the last one, which is not for sale.

  1. 0–40 pts

    Kid

    Everyone opens the month here.

  2. 41–100 pts

    Yearling

You are reading games, not guessing them.

  3. 101–160 pts

    Billy

The top of what points alone can buy.

  4. Rank #1

    GOAT

Position #1 on the monthly board. One per month.

Ties break in order: Perfect Calls, then max-point games, then whoever was closest across the whole month, then whoever called it first. The board never ends ambiguous.

This week’s slate is already up.

Calls lock five minutes before kickoff and stay private until they do. Sign up with Facebook or an email address — it takes about as long as reading this sentence.
